Experienced, conscientious entrepreneur with over 30 years of proven success demonstrating strengths in strategic planning, developing teams, establishing systems, business and product development across a variety of industries. Possesses broad entrepreneurial experience base, both strategic and as operator, encompassing finance, operations, project management, technology, product development and marketing.
He has successfully started, acquired, and built brands in pharma, online education, not-for-profit sector, real estate and video production. Enjoys working with teams to conceptualize opportunities, create strategies, implement them over time, see them blossom.

Matthew Gencarella
In 2015, pioneering entrepreneur Matt Gencarella identified an opportunity in his native Los Angeles, and launched byDesign Films. 4000 live events later, Matt and his team transformed a vibrant SoCal startup into a nationwide, full-service film production company with an Emmy award winning staff of cinematographers, producers, editors and concierge project managers, producing magic for events across the country. Matt is an avid athlete, who enjoys golf, racquetball and snowboarding.
Currently, through byDesign Ventures, he is assembling a portfolio of best in class e-learning as well as digital media brands built on award-winning professionals and empowering them with freedom, capital, and tools to reach the next level as they continue to create and innovate.
